After months of collaboration and planning, the Concept Plan for the enhancement of the Boddington Caravan Park has been adopted by Council. This marks a significant milestone in the project to revitalise the existing park, and establish new accommodation options in Boddington.
The Concept Plan, developed by experienced caravan park designers, outlines the planned enhancements to the Park, while preserving its unique charm. The planning has been supported by a Needs Analysis and Business Case that express the project's potential to boost tourism, create jobs, and strengthen Boddingtons appeal as a tourist destination.
The finalised Concept Plan includes a range of enhancements, including:
- Increase to 50 sites, including provision for vans up to 10 metres
- Improved access and landscaping to the river foreshore areas
- Improved road layout with one way traffic flow to increase safety
- Increased visitor parking
- Establishment of 6 chalets on the vacant lot to the west of the existing park
The next step is to secure funding, with several government funding streams being pursued. For more information about the project, visit the current projects page under the Council section of the Shire website.
