New Refuse Site Process - Effective 30 September 2024

Published on Friday, 6 September 2024 at 11:50:19 AM

The Shire of Boddington is introducing new procedures for dropping off waste at the Boddington Refuse Site, starting Monday 30 September 2024.

Important: Your Refuse Site Pass

Within your upcoming Rates notice envelope, you will find a personalised Refuse Site Pass. This pass is required each time you visit the Refuse Site to drop off waste. The pass is unique to your property, and its use is monitored—so please, do not share it, as any charges incurred will be your responsibility.

Residential Properties

Residents will continue to have unlimited visits to the refuse site to dispose of up to 1.5m³ each time of general waste during the 2024/25 financial year. (Fees will apply for certain items in fees and charges schedule).

Lost Refuse Site Pass? If you lose your pass or if you are renting, visit the Shire of Boddington Administration Office with proof of residence (e.g., a utility bill with your name and address) to obtain a replacement.

Commercial Properties

Commercial property owners will receive 4 free general waste Refuse Site Passes for the 2024/25 financial year. Each pass allows disposal of 1.5m³ general waste, and you must present a pass at every visit to the Refuse Site. If you do not have a valid pass or have used your allocated passes, fees will apply as per the Shire’s fees and charges schedule.

Please be aware that certain waste types may still incur fees, as passes do not cover all items. For more details, please review the Refuse Site Terms and Conditions via, https://www.boddington.wa.gov.au/live/services/refuse-site-waste-management.aspx
