Local Government elections will be held in October 2023, with the Shire of Boddington having 3 vacancies that will be contested. The Shire is hosting an information briefing for anyone interested in becoming a Councillor.
The briefing will include an address from the Shire President, as well as information from the Western Australian Local Government Association, the Department of Local Government, Sport and Cultural Industries, and the WA Electoral Commission. The session is to inform prospective candidates about the election process, the roles and responsibilities of Local Government, Elected Members and the Council, together with the role of the DLGSC as the regulator of Local Government in WA.
