The sealing of the Town Hall Carpark and Peppercorn Lane is currently underway as part of the Town Centre Revitalisation project. This work includes the installation of a stormwater drain, which will require the temporary relocation of seven rose bushes from the gardens outside the Town Hall. Once the drainage work is completed, six rose bushes will be replanted in their original garden bed, while one will be relocated to Memorial Park.

The Shire is seeking community input on plans to enhance two key public spaces – 32 Bannister Road and Central Park. To gather your feedback, we will be hosting a community stall outside the IGA on Friday, 21 February, from 2–4 pm.

As another exciting school holiday program wraps up, the Youth Centre would like to take a moment to reflect on the highlights and share some important updates.

The Shire of Boddington is seeking submissions from the community for items to be considered for inclusion in the 2025/26 annual budget. This input will help inform the development of the budget by ensuring a diverse range of ideas are considered, and resources are allocated in a way that benefits a broad cross-section of the community.

The Ranford Pool Project is progressing well, bringing us closer to a revitalised space for community and visitors.

The Council has endorsed an exciting new project to showcase Boddington's local history by relocating and displaying the historic roller. The roller will be moved to a public-facing location on the east side of the Old Roads Board building. A protective shelter will be constructed, and interpretive signage will be installed to provide visitors with insights into the roller's role in local roadworks history.

A Request for Tender has been released for the Boddington Caravan Park - Stage 1 Tourist Cabins - Civil Works and In-Ground Services. This tender closes on Wednesday 12 March, to evaluate the responses, identify a contractor and start on-site by mid-April.

Main Roads WA has advised that the microsurfacing works scheduled for Bannister Road in the town centre, initially set to begin on Saturday, 8 February, are now estimated to commence on Thursday, 20 March.

Feedback signs have been installed throughout town, including public toilets, Hotham Park, Town Hall, and the Recreation Centre. These signs provide quick access to the service request form on the website through the QR code, where residents and visitors can submit feedback or report issues.

Works on Harvey Quindanning Road have commenced this week. The program includes widening, drainage, stabilising, and sealing 1.2 km, in line with the Shire's ongoing commitment to progressing the sealing of this road. Works are expected to be completed by the end of March 2025.

Partnering with the WA Government, eligible children and young people living within the Shire of Boddington can access a seasonal pool pass to the Boddington Swimming Pool under the KidSport Regional Pools Program.

Boddington's Residential Aged Care Focus and Mountain Bike Park is featured in the Summer 2025 issue of Peel Magazine.

The Town Hall Carpark and Peppercorn Lane sealing project is set to commence on Monday 10 February 2025. The upgrade will deliver a sealed asphalt carpark featuring 33 marked bays, including two accessible bays, along with improved lighting and landscaping.

The Shire of Boddington is excited to announce the continuation of its highly successful mural art program into 2025. Following the completion of three stunning mural installations in 2024, this year’s project promises to be another vibrant addition to the community.

Exciting progress is being made at Ranford Pool. The car parking modifications are now complete, increasing the number of car bays. A new seasonal fire pit has been installed, which will remain locked during the prohibited burning season. Concrete pads are in place, ready for the installation of shelters, which will be completed in February. CCTV will also be installed in February to enhance security for all visitors.

Main Roads WA will carry out microsurfacing and line marking works along Bannister Marradong Road in the town centre, from Saturday 8 February 2025 to Wednesday 12 February 2025. The majority of work will be undertaken at night.

The Shire of Boddington has commenced renovations to the public toilets behind the BoddFit gym, adjacent to the Tennis Courts. The work includes upgrades to plumbing, fixtures, lighting, and tiling, to improve the space.

The Heart Foundation Walking Group program could be coming to Boddington in early 2025! The WA Country Health Service is looking for Walk Leaders to help guide the group and make this initiative a success in our community

The Shire of Boddington hosted the annual Community Christmas Celebrations on Friday 6 December 2024. The evening was enjoyed by all - with a large range of activities for the kids, including water slides, an obstacle course, laser tag, a dunk tank, the Lions Club train, arts and crafts, facepainting, live action role play characters and a visit from Santa himself!
