Community groups and sporting clubs are invited to submit their written Expressions of Interest for one of four paid roles to assist with the arrival of temporary campers for this year’s Boddington Rodeo. Campers will be arriving on Friday, 1 November, 1pm to 8pm.

The Shire is pleased to announce the completion of the Hotham Park toilet block renovation. This project has revitalised the facility, and with the recently completed mural, both the inside and outside are looking fantastic!

BoddFit Community Gym now has a total of 165 active members, thanks to the addition of 26 new members who joined in May.

The Community Grant Program provides financial assistance to incorporated bodies to deliver projects and programs which deliver benefit to the local community and local economy to build an engaged, vibrant, inclusive, and healthy community.

The Shire is continuing to advocate for upgrades to enhance the safety and efficiency of Pinjarra Williams Road. Recently, the Shire held a productive meeting with representatives from Main Roads WA to advocate for the installation of passing lanes between Boddington and Dwellingup.

Boddington's mural installations are set to begin soon, starting with the Fire Shed mural. The selected artist, Jacob Butler, has created a design that will feature Henry Boddington, highlighting historical significance, as well as local flora and fauna.

The Williams Reserve in Boddington is poised to become a premier destination for mountain biking enthusiasts, thanks to a substantial grant of $959,947 under the Australian Government’s Priority Community Infrastructure Program.

The Shire of Boddington is still seeking volunteers to take part in a photoshoot aimed at showcasing Boddington’s beauty as a tourism destination.

At the Ordinary Council Meeting on 23 April 2024 Council resolved to endorse for advertising draft Local Planning Policy 21 - Tiny House on Wheels. Recognising the growing interest in alternative and compact housing solutions, the Policy provides a framework for the establishment and regulation of tiny houses within the Shire of Boddington. Feedback on the Draft Planning Policy can be submitted via the Shire's website https://www.boddington.wa.gov.au/communityconsultation or in-person at the Shire Administration office. The comment period ends on Tuesday, 28 May, 2024, at 4:00 pm.

The Shire is forming a Reference Group to assess the immediate and future requirements of the Boddington Swimming Pool. This initiative will allow ideas and input from regular pool users, to shape recommendations for upcoming Council discussions.

Last week, Boddington hosted three workshops focusing on reviewing the current Council Plan. Two sessions welcomed community members to provide feedback on the draft plan and discuss priority issues. The insights gathered will shape the draft, which will be open for further community input in June.

A new coat of paint has been applied to the exterior of Town Hall.
