Youth Centre Assistant
The Shire of Boddington is seeking a Youth Centre Assistant who is dedicated to supporting and enriching the lives of residents through meaningful programs and initiatives.
As part of the Community Services team, our Youth Centre Assistants play a vital role in fostering a welcoming and inclusive space for young people in Boddington. Your ability and drive to connect and engage with youth through program delivery, activities, and mentorship contribute to building a supportive and positive environment.
Key responsibilities include:
- Support the efficient and effective daily operations of the Boddington Youth Centre.
- Engage effectively with young people who are utilising the Boddington Youth Centre and/or participating in projects and programs, with a focus on building rapport with all parties.
- Establish effective working relationships with all team members and apply sound communication skills to resolve issues.
- Assist with the preparation of food for young people and related cleaning duties.
The successful applicant will have a positive, honest, and collaborative attitude, an interest in working with young people with a view to provide enriching experiences, and be able to work with limited supervision. You will also need the flexibility to work additional hours relevant to the needs of the role.
The position offers:
- A competitive hourly rate of up to $30.79 (inclusive of casual loading) based on an adult wage.
- A minimum of 7 hours per week with additional hours available during school holidays.
- Generous superannuation (up to 23% with superannuation co-contribution scheme).

A satisfactory National Police Clearance (dated within the last 3 months) and a valid and current Working with Children’s Check are prerequisites for this role.

Project Officer
The Shire of Boddington is seeking a professional, dynamic and hardworking Project Officer to join our team, on a permanent basis. This newly created role will plan, coordinate, and deliver key projects aligned with the community’s vision and the council’s strategic priorities. Responsibilities include procurement, stakeholder engagement, and project management, ensuring initiatives are delivered on time, within budget, and to a high standard. The role also supports sustainable development and improved community services while overseeing the delivery of minor projects.
Key responsibilities include:
- Planning, coordinating and delivery of small to medium projects
- Assist project leads in developing and documenting project specific content aligned with Project Management Framework
- Facilitate effective reporting of project progress to relevant stakeholders
- Prepare and manage grant applications
- Carry out end to end procurement activities including preparation of tender documents
- Perform project and contract administration tasks
The successful candidate will have experience in a similar role and/or demonstrate sound transferrable skills with outstanding project administrative abilities. Producing high quality work and having a keen eye for detail. Previous experience in local government would be advantageous, and the individual must exhibit strong organisational skills along with excellent customer service skills.
The position offers:
- Salary package between $102,891 and $107,341 including superannuation, with a cash component of up to $96,270
- 32 – 38 hours per week, working an 8 or 9 day fortnight, with flexible working hours
- Up to 17.5% superannuation if you join the Council’s matching scheme of 6%
- Additional benefits, including salary sacrifice, free pool and gym access and 2 extra days of leave annually.

Governance Coordinator
The Shire of Boddington is seeking a professional, dynamic and hardworking Governance Coordinator to join our team, on a permanent basis. This role will monitor and manage the Shires compliance with the Local Government Act 1995, Regulations and other relevant legislation.
Key responsibilities include:
- Ensure the Shire’s compliance with the Local Government Act 1995, Regulations and other relevant legislation.
- Manage, development, review and implementation of Council policies, operational practices, procedures and guidelines.
- Coordinate the completion of the Annual Compliance Audit Return within the required timeframes.
- Undertake the annual review of delegations and sub-delegations in accordance with legislation.
- Prepare Council reports in relation to Governance matters
- Facilitate the review of the Shire’s Local Laws.
- Review and facilitate the implementation of the Shire’s Risk Management Framework.
- Conduct annual reviews of the Operational and Strategic Risk Register with the Executive Leadership Team.
The successful candidate will have experience in a similar role and/or demonstrate sound transferrable skills with outstanding Governance and Risk Management abilities. Producing high quality work and having a keen eye for detail.
