Refuse Site Attendant

As the Refuse Site Attendant, your primary role will be to maintain a clean, safe, and functional environment at the Shire of Boddington Refuse Disposal Site, ensuring it remains accessible to the community. Key duties include directing patrons to the correct disposal areas, inspecting vehicles and trailers, and keeping the site in optimal condition.
Key responsibilities include:
- Actively monitor vehicle activity at the site to control designated tipping areas, prevent acceptance of prohibited items, and oversee the handling of conditionally accepted materials.
- Maintain a tidy, safe, and efficient site using Shire-provided equipment.
- Record and collect tipping dockets, tip fee payments, and other data for waste reporting purposes.
The successful candidate will be dedicated to excellent customer service, and be committed to environmental and recycling initiatives. Practical experience in the safe operation of heavy plant and machinery, a valid competency tickets (or willingness to obtain) and a positive, honest and collaborative attitude is also required.
The position offers:
- Competitive hourly rate of up to $39.79 (inclusive of casual loading), with additional loading for weekend work
- 30 hours per fortnight, with flexibility for extra hours as required
- Typical hours on Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday from 9:00am to 2:00pm
- Up to 17.5% superannuation if you join the Council’s matching scheme of 6%

Parks & Gardens – General Hand

The Shire is seeking suitably experienced and motivated individual to join our Works and Services team. The primary objective of the role is to operate various items of plant and equipment in relation to completing high quality maintenance activities for parks, reserves and streetscapes within the town of Boddington.
Key responsibilities include:
- Mowing, gardening, and maintenance of town ovals, parks, public gardens, reserves, verges, footpaths and laneways
- Litter control and removal
- Slashing of blocks and rugged areas
- Pruning and maintenance of street trees and shrubs.
- Cemetery maintenance (mowing, watering, etc)
The successful candidate will have a great attitude, experience in a similar role, and possess competency tickets (or be willing to obtain these).
The position offers:
- Salary package of $78,800 to $81,424 including superannuation, with a cash component up to $69,567
- 76 hours per fortnight, working an 8 day fortnight
- Up to 17.5% superannuation if you join the Council’s matching scheme of 6%
- Additional benefits, including salary sacrifice, free pool and gym access, and 2 extra days of Public Service Leave annually

Executive Assistant
The Shire of Boddington is seeking a skilled, organised, and experienced Executive Assistant to the Chief Executive Officer.
Key responsibilities include:
- Provide administrative support to the CEO, including managing calendars, scheduling meetings, coordinating civic functions, and managing correspondence.
- Coordinate requests for information from internal and external stakeholders and provide a professional, customer responsive first point of contact for enquiries to the CEO.
- Ensure accurate and timely Council, Committee and other reference group meeting agendas and minutes.
- Preparation of correspondence, communication material and reports.
The successful candidate will have experience in a similar role, have outstanding administrative abilities, with a keen eye for detail to produce high quality work, and exceptional time management skills. Knowledge and experience in local government with be beneficial.
The position offers:
- 34 - 38 hours per week, working an 8 or 9 day fortnight.
- Cash component between $76,570 – $80,000 (based on 38 hours, and dependent on qualifications and experience).
- Up to 17.5% superannuation.
