The Boddington Active Ageing Network hosted its annual Senior's Week event on Wednesday 13 November.
The event comprised an Expo format whereby residents could collate a range of information on products and services available to them, as well as a Have A Go Day component with local community groups running stalls, activities, workshops and demonstrations to support connection and encourage ongoing participation in local activities.
Attendees also enjoyed a complimentary lunch and refreshments, an incredible performance by the Boddington District High School Choir, some lovely live vocals by Linda Howlett, and an exciting inspirational speech by Brett Dellar.
This year's event was a huge success with over 70 attendees and many stalls and activities on display.
The Shire of Boddington acknowledges the Department of Communities and Lotterywest for their support to make the event possible.
Thank you to the Boddington Active Ageing Network stakeholders for their ongoing collaboration and support: Boddington Arts Council, Boddington District High School, Boddington Lions Club, Stay on Your Feet, Access Life Health and Fitness, Boddington Men’s Shed and Boddington Community Resource Centre. The Network acknowledges Sierra McKenzie Hair and Boddington Mitre 10 for donating door prizes for the day.
Thank you to our local seniors who attended, we hope you enjoyed your day.
