Summer by the River is set to illuminate the skies once again with an awesome fireworks display during its event on 23 March, 2024 at Hotham Park.
Through collaboration with Cardile International Fireworks, a comprehensive risk mitigation plan has been developed to ensure that the event's location and procedures align with Boddington's needs.
The local community can help ensure everyone's safety and enjoyment during the event by following these guidelines:
- Stay outside the fenced area at the Old School Oval.
- Keep your dogs safe at home where they are comfortable and secure.
Regarding Pet Safety during Fireworks:
Fireworks will begin around 7.45 pm on Saturday evening and the noise could startle your pets, so residents can take these steps to keep their pets safe.
- If possible, keep pets indoors with closed windows, drawn curtains, and enough food and water.
- Make sure pets are microchipped with up-to-date owner details and wearing an ID tag.
- If pets must stay outside, ensure the yards are secure to prevent them from escaping.
- Exercise and feed pets before the fireworks start to help calm them down.
Please note: In order to provide a sufficient exclusion zone for the fireworks, Boddington's RV area will be closed from 10am Saturday 23 March, for 24hrs.
