Summer by the River is set to illuminate the skies once again with an awesome fireworks display during its event on 22 March, 2025 at Hotham Park.
A comprehensive risk mitigation plan has been developed to ensure that the event's location and procedures align with Boddington's needs.
The local community can help ensure everyone's safety and enjoyment during the event by following these guidelines:
- Stay outside the fenced area at the Old School Oval.
- Keep your dogs safe at home where they are comfortable and secure.
Regarding Pet Safety during Fireworks:
Fireworks will begin around 7.45 pm on Saturday evening and the noise could startle your pets, so residents can take these steps to keep their pets safe.
- If possible, keep pets indoors with closed windows, drawn curtains, and enough food and water.
- Make sure pets are microchipped with up-to-date owner details and wearing an ID tag.
- If pets must stay outside, ensure the yards are secure to prevent them from escaping.
- Exercise and feed pets before the fireworks start to help calm them down.
Please note: The RV Park will be closed from 10:00 AM Saturday, 22 March until 12:00 PM Sunday, 23 March due to the fireworks exclusion zone. Overnight parking will be available in the staff car park behind the Shire Administration building.
